Erwin van der Maesen de Sombreff

Erwin Van der Maesen de Sombreff is an experienced professional with a strong background in project management, legal practice, and strategic advisory roles. Currently serving as Projectleider Opvang Vluchtelingen at Gemeente Westerkwartier since January 2019, Erwin is responsible for organizing support and facilities for refugees from Ukraine. Prior roles include serving as Strategisch Adviseur Innovatie en Onderzoek and Hoofd Ruimte en Welzijn at Gemeente Zuidhorn, as well as various leadership positions at Gemeente Vlagtwedde, where responsibilities included spatial development and social affairs. Legal expertise was developed through positions at Ten Have Advocaten, PlasBossinade Advocaten en Notarissen, and De Groot & Partners Advocaten from 1996 to 2000. Erwin holds a Mr. in Law from Utrecht University, a BBA in Business Administration from Nyenrode Business University, and a Post HBO in Bedrijfskunde from Hanze.
