Jan-Willem van de Kolk

Jan-Willem van de Kolk has extensive experience in public administration and governance, currently serving as the Chairman of the Rekenkamer for the municipality of Westerkwartier since October 2019. In addition to this role, Jan-Willem holds several leadership positions within educational and social organizations, including Chairman of the Supervisory Board for SWV Primair Onderwijs Borger-Odoorn/Emmen and the Wolderwijs foundations. Previously, Jan-Willem was a Councilor and held the role of Alderman in the municipalities of Bedum and Stadskanaal, managing various portfolios related to finance, housing, and community well-being. Jan-Willem has also contributed to medical research, non-profit initiatives, and has been actively involved in various committees and boards focused on social welfare, arts, and community engagement. Academic qualifications include degrees in Orthopedagogy and Social Studies from the University of Groningen.
