Davina Nelson

Davina Nelson has a diverse work experience in the finance and accounting field. Davina currently works as the North American Finance Lead at Gemic since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Capco as a Finance Specialist from April 2021 to February 2023, and as a Senior Finance Analyst from November 2018 to March 2021. In these roles, they were responsible for various financial functions such as month-end close, budgeting, variance analysis, training, tax filings, and audit compliance. Before joining Capco, Davina held positions at BGIS as a Financial Analyst II from November 2017 to November 2018, at JLL as a Staff Accountant from October 2016 to November 2017, at 360incentives as an Accounting Associate II from November 2014 to September 2016, and as an Accounting Associate I from November 2012 to October 2014. Davina also briefly worked as a Client Happiness Builder at 360incentives in July 2012, as a Client Service Representative at RBC from August 2012 to November 2012, and as a Business and Marketing Representative Coop at Service Canada from January 2012 to April 2012. Davina started their career as an Administrative Assistant at Century 21 New Star Realty Inc., Brokerage from May 2008 to January 2012. Overall, Davina has gained extensive experience in various finance and accounting roles throughout their career.

Davina Nelson completed their B.B.A degree with a specialization in Management & Accounting from the University of Toronto in 2012. From 2016 to 2020, they pursued CPA Preparation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). In 2023, they will begin their CPA PEP (Professional Education Program) at CPA Canada.
