Kyle Mooney has been working in the field of computational fluid dynamics since 2006, beginning with an internship at Intel Corporation. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts, where they studied multiphase computational fluid dynamics and non-Newtonian droplet behavior. In 2013, they began working as a Consulting CFD Engineer at ICON Technology & Process Consulting Ltd., providing front-line multifaceted CFD analysis, support, and solver development for computational engineering projects. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a CFD Engineer and Hydraulics System Design at GrowX Inc., simulating micro and macro-scale compressible fluid dynamics with heat transfer, atomization, and evaporation physics. Finally, in 2018, they began working at FRESH as a Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer for Product Development, and in 2020 they became a Senior Application Engineer at Geminus.AI.
Kyle Mooney earned their B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2009. Kyle then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering/Computational Fluid Dynamics from the same university, which they completed in 2015.
