Laura Martin

Laura joined the Gencare team in 2019, bringing extensive experience as a finance and accounting professional. Prior to joining Gencare, Laura worked as a consultant providing a broad range of accounting services for a diverse range of clients. Her industry expertise includes real estate development, construction management, senior housing, hospitality, and retail.

Previous leadership positions include her role as Director of Corporate Accounting and Administration for Westin International Hotels and Resorts, where she managed the division responsible for operational accounting and budgeting for the hotel management and marketing companies. During her tenure at Westin, she managed complex financial, construction management, and HR systems implementation projects, led teams in assessing new business development opportunities, and was a recipient of the Thurston-Dupar Inspirational Award for leadership and service.

Laura is a graduate of Washington State University and started her career as a licensed CPA in public accounting with the Seattle office of Price Waterhouse (now PwC). Laura is an active community volunteer and has held numerous board positions with local non-profits, including Beacon Arts, Rainier Valley Food Bank, and Committee for Children. She is a founding member of the award-winning comedic singing group, the Beaconettes, which has performed with the Seattle Symphony and raised money for local charities.
