Carina Leitwein

Carina Leitwein is an experienced bioinformatician and software testing engineer with a robust academic background in bioinformatics and biochemistry. Currently serving as a Lead Software Testing Engineer at Genedata since March 2018, Carina previously held roles as a Bioinformatician and Visiting PhD Student at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. Carina completed a PhD in Biochemistry (Bioinformatics) at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where a thesis focused on transient transcriptome sequencing in T-cells was undertaken. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Bioinformatics and a Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics from the Technical University of Munich, as well as a short-term visiting scholarship at the University of Alberta. Additionally, Carina has contributed to teaching and research as a student assistant during academic pursuits.
