Melanie Napier

Melanie Napier is an accomplished professional in the field of genetic counseling and medical affairs, currently serving as a Senior Translational Science Liaison at GeneDx since June 2022, where previous roles included Translational Science Liaison and Genetic Counselor. With a robust clinical background at London Health Sciences Centre from January 2012 to June 2022, Melanie specialized in inborn errors of metabolism, newborn screening, and both pediatric and adult general genetics while also co-leading the Continuous Improvement of Care initiative. Additional experience includes positions as a Clinical Genetic Counselor at CENTOGENE GmbH, Hamilton Health Sciences, and The Hospital for Sick Children, complemented by research roles at Queen's University and the University of Western Ontario. Melanie holds an MSc in Genetic Counselling from the University of Toronto, alongside an MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Calgary and a BSc in Honours Genetics from Western University.
