Renkui Bai is a seasoned expert in medical genetics with extensive experience in mitochondrial disorder testing. Since October 2008, Renkui Bai has served as the Director of Mitochondrial Disorder Testing at GeneDx. Prior to this role, Renkui Bai was a faculty member at Baylor College of Medicine from June 2005 to October 2008 and conducted postdoctoral research at the Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory, Institute for Molecular & Human Genetics, Georgetown University, from October 2000 to May 2003. Renkui Bai holds a Diploma in Clinical Molecular Genetics from the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) at NIH, completed between 2003 and 2005, and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Peking University in 2000.
