Guoliang Fu has worked in the field of molecular diagnostics for over 20 years. Guoliang began their career in 1995 as a Research Associate at the Department of Pathology at Cambridge University. In 1998, they moved to the Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College Faculty of Medicine in London as a Research Associate. In 2003, they became a Team Leader at Oxitec. In 2006, they returned to academia as a Research Associate at the Department of Zoology at Oxford University. In 2007, they co-founded 360 Genomics Ltd., where they served as Science Director. In 2011, they founded and became CEO of GeneFirst Ltd., a molecular diagnostics company working primarily in the field of infectious disease and cancer diagnostics.
Guoliang Fu began their educational journey in 1985 when they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Peking University. Guoliang then went on to China Agricultural University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology between 1989 and 1990. Finally, they completed their education in 1995 when they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology from Moscow State University.
