Aaron Z. has a strong background in the field of genetics and genomics. Aaron is currently serving as the CTO at GeneGoCell Inc., where they are responsible for defining industry standards for genome-editing verification and ensuring the highest sensitivity and specificity with the fastest Turnaround Time (TAT).
Prior to their current role, Aaron was the Founder and CEO of Genenius Genetics from August 2017 to February 2022. During their time at Genenius Genetics, they played a pivotal role in establishing the company and leading its overall operations.
Aaron also has experience working at Pathway Genomics Corporation, where they served as the Principal Scientist and Manager. In this role, they led the development, validation, and transfer of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) assays to a CLIA/CAP-accredited clinical laboratory. Aaron also managed a bioinformatics team and oversaw the integration of LIMS/Bioinformatics systems and in-silico testing.

Aaron Z. obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Chemistry from Nanjing University between 1999 and 2003. Afterwards, they pursued Graduate Studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of South Carolina from 2005 to 2006. Finally, they completed their education by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Virology from the University of Kansas Medical Center from 2007 to 2010.
