Joanna Soffa

JoAnna Soffa has extensive experience in healthcare law, currently serving as Vice President of Healthcare Law at Genentech since January 2008, following various roles including Senior Director/Associate General Counsel and Associate Director/Assistant General Counsel. Prior to Genentech, JoAnna held the position of Senior Counsel at Johnson & Johnson from August 2005 to December 2007 and served as a Senior Associate at Keller and Heckman LLP from November 1998 to July 2005. JoAnna began a career in legal practice as Assistant Chief Counsel at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration from September 1996 to October 1998. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) from The George Washington University Law School and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from The George Washington University - Milken Institute School of Public Health, both earned in May 1996, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Vassar College obtained in June 1993.
