Judy Shimoni

Judy Shimoni possesses extensive experience in technical development leadership, particularly in the fields of cell and gene therapies. At Genentech, from September 2006 to August 2022, Judy served as Principal Technical Development Leader, guiding teams through the development and launch of individualized therapies, and previously held roles focused on CMC leadership, where efforts included managing early to late-stage programs, overseeing IND filings, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Judy's leadership in mass spectrometry and bioprocess development is evidenced by experience as Senior Scientist and Group Leader, leading teams in product characterization and industry guidelines for process impurities. Earlier career stages included roles at Bio-Rad Laboratories and UC Berkeley, contributing to molecular cell biology research as a postdoctoral fellow. Judy holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Life Sciences and Plant Genetics from the Weizmann Institute of Science.
