Katherine Block, PhD, PMP, currently serves as the Principal Companion Diagnostics (CDx) Development Lead at Genentech, overseeing the development of CDx and clinical diagnostic strategies for therapeutic programs in oncology, gene therapy, and autoimmune diseases since August 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Biomarker Sciences at Sangamo Therapeutics, Inc., and Associate Director of Companion Diagnostics at AbbVie, where Katherine developed and implemented strategies for biomarker and CDx across various phases of clinical programs. Katherine's background also includes significant contributions to companion diagnostics while at Agilent Technologies, Genoptix Medical Laboratory, and Beckman Coulter, complemented by a robust educational foundation in Drug Discovery and Development from the University of Arizona.
