Meena Subramaniam

Meena Subramaniam, PhD, currently serves as Principal Scientist I at Genentech since September 2024. Prior to this role, Meena worked as Principal Computational Scientist at NOETIK, focusing on the analysis of large imaging datasets to derive biological features and investigate tumor micro-environment mechanisms. Previously, Meena led a computational biology team at Immunai, developing machine learning models for CRISPR/Cas9 studies and collaborating with experimental teams for target nomination. Meena also held positions as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist and as Co-Founder and CTO of Dropprint Genomics, a startup acquired by Immunai. Academic research experience includes work in various MIT labs and a bioinformatics project at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Meena holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of California, San Francisco, and a BS in Computer Science and Biology from MIT.
