Zhen Shi is a Senior Principal Scientist at Genentech since October 2017, previously serving as Principal Scientist. Before joining Genentech, Zhen Shi was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University from September 2013 to September 2017, where expertise in quantitative proteomics, genetics, and molecular assays was applied to the study of ribosome compositions and gene regulation. Zhen Shi developed a bioinformatics pipeline using Generalized Linear Models to analyze translational control in mammalian embryos and conducted bioinformatics analysis on mRNA translation regulation during tumorigenesis. Zhen Shi holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Harvard University (2008-2013) and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Tsinghua University (2004-2008).
