Sasha Makarenko

Sasha Makarenko has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and positions. They currently hold the role of Chief Sales Officer (CSO) at GenePlanet, a position they started in January 2023. Prior to that, Sasha worked as the Managing Director at SM STRATEGY d.o.o. in 2022.

Additionally, Sasha worked as a Marketing & Business Strategy Manager for HEINEKEN Kazakhstan and as a Strategy Support Group Consultant for HEINEKEN Global Commerce. They started their journey at The HEINEKEN Company in September 2000 as a CMI Manager at Amstel Brewery Hungary.

In the earlier stages of their career, Sasha worked as a Management Consultant at the Economic Development Agency from 1997 to 1999, and as an Educational Consultant at The Soros Foundation from 1993 to 1996.

Sasha Makarenko has a diverse education history. In 1990, they attended Dnipropetrovsk State University and pursued a MA degree in Applied Psychology, which they completed in 1995. Following this, Sasha embarked on further studies and earned an MBA degree in Marketing & International Management from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, which they completed from 1999 to 2001. In 2018, Sasha attended INSEAD and completed the HEINEKEN Senior Leadership Programme, although no specific field of study is mentioned.
