Hua Wang is the current Director of gBETA Huntsville at gener8tor. Hua has also been the Founder and CEO of SmartBridge Health, a company that provides quality cancer care to people regardless of who they are or where they live. Wang has also been a Council Member for GLG and an Advisor for Guidepoint. In addition, they have been a Fellowship Interviewer for FUSE Corps and a Guest Lecturer at Georgetown University. Wang has also served as the Executive Advisor to the Mayor for DC Government. In this role, they led a survey of 1,500 residents and conducted 150 interviews and usability tests across all eight wards in the district. Hua also launched an innovation academy to train government employees in how to do rapid prototyping and hosted a “failure forward” workshop aimed at fostering a culture of experimentation within government. Wang has also been a Scholar for The Nantucket Project and a Fellow for Halcyon. In addition, they have served as an Entrepreneur In Residence for (MaGIC) Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre, Start-Up Chile, and Rockstart. Finally, Wang has been the Legal Advisor for The American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Hua Wang graduated from Northwestern University School of Law in 2011, where they specialized in banking, corporate, finance, and securities law. During their time at Northwestern, they participated in international team projects in Brazil and Cuba, and was a member of the Corporate Counsel Institute and the Bridge to the Boston Consulting Group. Hua also played intramural basketball. Prior to attending Northwestern, Wang graduated from Duke University in 2003 with a degree in public policy, political science, and markets and management. At Duke, they were a member of the Duke Symphony Orchestra, the Duke Investment Club, and Duke in Spain. Hua was also involved in Women as Leaders and Goldman Sachs MBA Camp.
