Deeban Chandran

Deeban Chandran is a seasoned data professional with a strong educational background in Data Science and Business Analytics as well as Petroleum Engineering. Currently serving as the Data Analytics Lead Instructor at General Assembly since January 2022, Deeban leads a comprehensive 12-week course covering Advanced Excel, SQL, Python, Machine Learning, PowerBI, and Tableau, alongside teaching multiple bootcamps on Python Programming and Data Analytics. Previous experience includes a tenure as a Data Scientist at Shell, and as an Associate Consultant at Capgemini, where Deeban specialized in building and validating machine learning models for the banking sector. Earlier roles encompassed data science positions at PETRONAS and training at The Center of Applied Data Science, complemented by entrepreneurial experience as a co-founder of Oculus Ventures, focusing on mobile application development.
