Shifath Nafis

Shifath Nafis is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data-driven product development, design, and education. Currently serving as Co-Founder at Willow Tree Design since January 2020, Shifath focuses on enhancing human decision-making through data, design, and machine learning. As Lead Educator and Lead Instructor in Data Science at BrainStation since July 2021, Shifath contributes to the training of future professionals in the field. Previously, at Fjord, as Head of Data + Design, Shifath integrated user-centered thinking with data-driven methods to enhance human experiences. Experience with Accenture as an Applied Intelligence Manager involved leading data product projects, while earlier roles at Kurt Salmon, J.P. Morgan, and research positions have solidified a strong foundation in strategy and financial analytics. Academically, Shifath holds multiple degrees from prestigious institutions, including a DPhil in Systems Biology from the University of Oxford and a Master's in Software Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
