Ian Hansel

Ian Hansel is an experienced data science professional currently serving as the Director at Verge Labs since December 2017, where the focus is on applying machine learning techniques for practical business use. Additionally, Ian has been a Data Science Instructor at General Assembly since March 2015, developing and teaching various courses on data science principles and tools. Ian founded Hansel Solutions to provide analytics contracting services and has held roles at Caltex Australia and Data@Ogilvy, where Ian implemented data science best practices and marketing strategies. Ian's career began with a focus on analytics at Ernst & Young and IAG, and Ian holds a Bachelor of Mathematics Advanced (Honours) in Statistics from the University of Wollongong.
