Jim Liao

Jim Liao is a seasoned aerospace professional with over 20 years of experience in the field. Currently serving as Sr Manager of Flight Technologies - Advanced Programs at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems since June 2012, Jim Liao has held key positions including Guidance, Navigation, and Control Supervisor and Engineer, focusing on areas such as planning, flight test, airworthiness, and software development. Prior to this role, Jim Liao worked at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics from November 2005 to June 2012 as Sr. Staff Aeronautical Engineer, contributing to the F-35 Lightning II program through flight testing and tool development. Earlier experience includes a position as an Aeronautical Engineer at Goodrich Sensor Systems, where efforts centered on aerodynamics analysis and R&D product development. Jim Liao holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
