Jon Amback

Jon Amback is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in aerospace and defense. Currently serving as Engineering Director for Airframe Product Development at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems since June 2014, Jon oversees project engineering and advanced manufacturing initiatives. Previous roles at the same company include Engineering Manager for Advanced Aircraft Engineering and Airframe IPT Manager, where Jon led multi-disciplinary teams in developing high-performance UAVs. Prior to General Atomics, Jon worked at UTC Aerospace Systems as a Structural Design Engineer, contributing to significant component development, and held positions at ITT and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, where engineering leadership and innovative design integration were key responsibilities. Jon holds an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California and a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University.
