Kathy Liao Young

Kathy Liao Young is a seasoned software engineering professional with over three decades of experience in the field. At General Atomics Aeronautical Systems since December 2010, Kathy serves as a Software Engineering Supervisor, overseeing a team of engineers in the development of aeronautical software. Prior to this role, Kathy worked at SAIC for nearly 22 years as a Senior Software Engineer, leading various projects in web applications and real-time embedded systems, with proficiency in languages such as Java and C/C++. Earlier experience includes engineering positions at SPAWAR and Hughes Aircraft Company. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University and has obtained a Specialized Certificate in Java Programming from UC San Diego Extended Studies.
