Chris Wainer is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in optical sensor systems and space systems. Currently serving as Chief Engineer for Optical Sensor Systems at General Atomics since September 2023, Chris previously held the position of Chief Engineer for Space Systems at EO Vista from July 2020 to September 2023. During a long tenure at L3Harris Technologies from June 2001 to July 2020, Chris progressed from Senior Systems Engineer to Sr. Principal Systems Engineer, overseeing mechanical engineering and specializing in the design, manufacture, and testing of optical subsystems for various markets, including NASA and the Department of Defense. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.
