Jonathan Yu

Jonathan Yu is a highly experienced Scientist currently at General Atomics, focusing on advanced computer simulations of plasma power exhaust in tokamaks and serving as Co-Leader in the Divertor Science and Innovation physics area at DIII-D since August 2020. Previously, Jonathan co-founded Cornsoft Apps, developing the PixSort app for iOS devices, and was a Project Scientist at the University of California, San Diego from 2004 to July 2020, where numerous innovative measurement techniques were developed, resulting in over 90 peer-reviewed journal articles. Earlier experience includes a consulting role at DULY Research, Inc. and a position as Laser Specialist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Jonathan holds a Ph.D. in Plasma Physics from UC San Diego and a B.A. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
