Paul Ferrell

Paul Ferrell is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in robotics and unmanned systems. Currently employed at General Atomics since 2018, Paul previously held the position of Staff Mechanical Engineer at Qualcomm from 2016 to 2018, where collaboration in engineering and prototyping of various R&D robots was a key focus. Prior to Qualcomm, Paul worked as a mechanical engineer contracted to Qualcomm through ManpowerGroup from 2014 to 2016. Paul’s earlier career included significant contributions at Exelis (now part of Harris Corporation) from 2004 to 2014, where leadership in the engineering and deployment of UUV systems was noteworthy, along with collaborative efforts in the Marine Mammals Division for the US Navy. Paul began his career as a student aide at SPAWAR from 2000 to 2004 and served as a Quartermaster in the U.S. Navy from 1995 to 1999. Paul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego.
