Shawn Burgwald

Shawn Burgwald is an experienced information security professional currently serving as the Director of Classified IT Systems at General Atomics since September 2017, where leadership extends over a team of 20 focused on managing classified information systems for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. Prior roles include Classified Computing Manager at the US Navy, and overseeing the Certification and Accreditation lifecycle as the Western Regional Information Assurance Manager at Leidos, managing a team of 9 in the National Security Sector. Shawn's foundational experience includes various roles at SAIC, including Information Assurance Manager and System Administrator. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Capella University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from California Lutheran University.
