Amanda Shi

Amanda Shi is an experienced investor currently with General Catalyst since August 2023, focusing on growth investments. Prior to this role, Amanda held positions at Advent International from August 2021 to July 2023, and has held a fellowship with Gold House since January 2022. Amanda's expertise includes tech and private equity from tenure at McKinsey & Company as a Senior Business Analyst (2018-2020) and a secondment at Foundation Capital as Director of Portfolio Operations (November 2020 - April 2021). Earlier experiences include roles at Facebook as a Technical PM Intern and Google as a Software Engineering Intern. Amanda holds an A.B. in Economics and Computer Science from Princeton University and studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics as a visiting student at the University of Oxford.
