Derek Preston has a diverse work experience, starting in 2002 as an Infrastructure Manager at SemCAMS ULC. Derek then moved on to become a Network Architect at Southwestern/Great American Inc. in 2008. In 2011, they joined TDS Telecommunications Corp. as a Manager - Project Implementation. In 2014, they worked as a Digital Forensic Investigator at The Dillon Agency. Currently, they are the Chief Information Officer at the General Council on Finance and Administration of The United Methodist Church, a position they have held since February 2018.
Derek Preston attended Bossier Parish Community College in 1995, where they studied Information Systems.
