Robert Sams

Robert Sams has extensive experience in engineering and design, currently serving as a CAD-Supervisor at General Dynamics since November 2012. In this role, Robert supervises the Design Engineering Drafting group, focusing on mechanical design and documentation for Navy vessels, utilizing Pro-Engineer Creo, Mentor Graphics, AutoCAD, and CADRA. Prior to this, Robert worked as a Senior Associate R&D Engineer at Bayer HealthCare Diabetes Care from January 2007 to June 2012, where Robert was instrumental in designing the award-winning Contour USB blood glucose meter and collaborating with international partners for production. Additionally, Robert was a Senior Designer at Johnson & Johnson Ortho Clinical Diagnostics from January 1990 to September 2006, where contributions included the design of mechanical subsystems for the Vetros 2.1 blood analyzer. Robert holds an Associate degree in Engineering Design from Alfred State College - SUNY College of Technology.
