John Crofts

John Crofts is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in various roles across the engineering sector. Currently employed at General Fusion since March 2021, John previously worked as a Mechanical Designer at SGM Custom Design and Fabrication Ltd. and as a Mechanical Engineer in Training at New Leaf. Prior to these positions, John completed a Co-op at Etalim Inc., focusing on research and development of mechanical components for thermal acoustic generators, and served as a Design Engineer Co-op and Field Engineer Co-op at Svante, where responsibilities included operating a carbon capture test facility. John began engineering involvement with UBC Baja SAE as a Drivetrain Subteam Member while earning a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia from 2015 to 2020.
