Will Philippson

Will Philippson has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Will currently serves as the Director of Finance & Controller at General Fusion since July 2023. Prior to this role, they were the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis at General Fusion from November 2022 to July 2023, and the Controller from December 2020 to November 2022.

Before joining General Fusion, Will worked at Innergex Renewable Energy, Inc. from April 2017 to December 2020. During their time at Innergex, they held various roles including Divisional Controller from September 2019 to December 2020, Senior Manager, Accounting from January 2019 to September 2019, and Manager, Accounting from April 2017 to December 2018. In these roles, they gained experience in financial modeling, cash forecasting and management, annual budget preparation and management, operations management, financial reporting (IFRS and US GAAP), and client and customer relations.

Prior to their time at Innergex, Will worked as a Senior Associate at PwC from September 2013 to April 2017.

Will Philippson obtained a Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKIN) degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from The University of British Columbia in 2012. Will then completed the Diploma in Accounting Program at The University of British Columbia in 2013. In the same year, they also pursued studies at the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) to become a Chartered Professional Accountant. Will also briefly attended the Canadian Securities Institute in 2013.
