In 2005 Carlos “Tony” Garces founded and incorporated General Infomatics, a service disabled veteran owned small business, as a professional services company through the use of personal investment. One month after opening its doors, GI won its first job at the Defense Information Systems Agency. One year later, he reunited with Patrick Xantus, a business and technology director from his prior days at a technology firm who was providing independent software consulting and contemplating starting his own company. Together, they joined as partners to build a dynamic successful company committed to providing innovative solutions to Federal Government customers. Today, GI is widely recognized as a supplier of practical and innovative solutions to complex problems. In 2008, GI applied for its 8(a) certification and received approval from the Small Business Administration.
