Technical Sales at General Magnaplate

Tim Martinson has extensive work experience in the fields of technical sales and operations management.

Tim worked at General Magnaplate Corporation from 2000 to 2005 as an Operations Manager. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing all operations of the coating facility, including P&L. Tim led improvement initiatives in waste treatment, operational cost reductions, quality, and lead time reduction.

From 2005 to 2010, Tim worked at Kohl's Department Stores as an Operations Supervisor. Tim supervised various departments, including shipping, receiving, and transportation. Tim was also responsible for coordinating all seasonal set processes and acted as a training resource for the network in the transportation role. During this time, they managed shipments of 150 million units per year and scheduled and managed over 10,000 truckloads.

Since 2010, Tim has been working again at General Magnaplate Corporation as a Technical Sales representative. Tim'sresponsibilities include reviewing applications and recommending various coating technologies to solve problems on metal substrates. Tim also identifies the value added by coatings for specific applications and facilitates an evaluation process to measure performance properties. Tim is available to provide on-site reviews and assist in choosing or recommending coating technologies.

Tim Martinson has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General Business, from Marian University of Fond du Lac. Tim also holds an Associate's degree in Marketing from Gateway Technical College.
