Jo Wren has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in communications and stakeholder engagement. Jo has worked at the General Medical Council since 2000, starting as a Media Relations Manager and subsequently taking on roles as an External Relations Manager, Regional Liaison Adviser, Principal Regional Liaison Adviser, and finally as the Head of GMC London. During their time at GMC, Jo has been responsible for managing media teams, developing stakeholder mapping processes, advising on policy consultations, and organizing national and regional events. Jo has also been actively involved in engaging with doctors, medical students, and patients through teaching, facilitating small groups, and delivering lectures on various medical topics. Prior to their role at GMC, Jo worked as a Deputy Public Relations Officer at The Scout Association from 1997 to 2000.
Jo Wren attended The University of St. Mark and St. John from 1994 to 1997. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts with Honors degree in Public Relations with IT as their field of study.
