Amir Kazemi

Amir Kazemi, Ph.D., is an accomplished engineer specializing in chassis structure, suspension, and steering systems at General Motors since June 2017. In the role of Chassis Structure, Suspension, and Steering CAE Engineer and Wheel Attachment Technical Specialist, Amir established technical direction for wheel attachment and collaborated with Advanced Vehicle Development on sizing. Previously, Amir served as a Senior Fastener Engineer focused on interior attachments, providing leadership in joint design, fastener selection, and developing new fastening methods while coordinating with design release engineers and suppliers. At Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Amir worked as a Fastener Application Engineer and Quality and Reliability Engineer, emphasizing fastener technology and reliability in vehicle design. Amir's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University and research experience at the Fastening and Joining Research Institute. Additionally, education includes a Master's degree from the University of Tabriz and a Bachelor's degree from Shiraz University.
