Darin Pitts

Darin Pitts has extensive experience in information security and risk management, having served as the Director of Cyber Protect & Prevent at General Motors from January 1997 to October 2024. In this role, Darin was responsible for continuous risk assessment across the GM Enterprise, focusing on identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating security threats. Previously, Darin led the Manufacturing Cyber Security Program, overseeing enterprise architecture for security controls across GM's 54 global manufacturing sites. Additional roles included managing IT infrastructure for product launches and plant IT systems. Darin holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University, both achieving a 4.0 GPA.
