Jongwon Ph.D. Park is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the automotive industry. Currently serving as the Engine Chief Engineer at GEELY Automotive Holdings Ltd since January 2019, Jongwon has also held various significant positions at GM Korea company since January 1994, including Director, Global Large Gas Engine Quality Lead, and Propulsing System Quality Director. Jongwon's expertise in engine development includes the successful design of an Inline 6 engine in collaboration with prominent engineering firms such as Porsche, FEV, and AVL. Earlier experience includes serving as a resident engineer at the German Technical Center from 1995 to 1999. Jongwon holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Combustion Stability from KAIST, along with a Master's degree in Rocket Propulsion Simulation from KAIST, and is certified as a Design for Six Sigma Black Belt and Red-X Problem Solver Apprentice.
