Sahar Kokaly

Sahar Kokaly is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in software safety, particularly in the fields of automated driving and active safety. Currently serving as Engineering Group Leader for ADAS Software Safety and formerly a Managing Engineer and Senior Software Safety Engineer at General Motors, Sahar has demonstrated expertise in leading software safety initiatives. In academia, Sahar contributes as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at McMaster University and has held research roles at both McMaster University and the University of Toronto. Sahar's academic background includes a Ph.D. and M.A.Sc. in Software Engineering from McMaster University, complemented by early career experience as a Business Operations Analyst and IT Specialist at IBM.
