Tomo Ryutani

Tomo Ryutani is a seasoned professional in advanced composites and R&D, currently serving as a Sr. Researcher at General Motors since September 2024. Prior experience includes the role of Sr. Composites Application Engineer at Re:Build Manufacturing, focusing on R&D for advanced composites technology and applications. At Mitsui Chemicals Group from 2017 to 2022, Tomo held dual roles as Strategist-R&D/Advanced Composites and Head of Mobility Development Center US, driving innovations in fiber-reinforced plastic systems and mobility applications in North America. Previous positions at Teijin Group involved extensive work in new developments and composite applications, including significant collaborations with General Motors on groundbreaking projects.
