Trent Strunk

Trent Strunk is a dedicated performance engineer with extensive experience in the motorsports industry. Currently serving as the Lead IndyCar Performance Engineer at General Motors from June 2022 to August 2024, Trent previously held positions including Simulation Support Engineer for IndyCar and Simulation Engineer II at Pratt & Miller Engineering. Trent's earlier experience includes roles at Joe Gibbs Racing, where significant contributions included coordinating the use of an in-house database for the Xfinity team, developing vehicle balance scales, and enhancing a Driver-In-The-Loop Simulator Test Program. Trent also worked as a Student Design Project Engineer at Jayhawk Motorsports SAE, focusing on vehicle performance and race strategies, and served as a Fly-In Race Engineer for Racers Edge Motorsports. Trent holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Kansas.
