General Probiotics
Yiannis Kaznessis is a founder and CEO of AgThera since 2021. Previously, they were a founder and CEO of General Probiotics, Inc. from 2018. Yiannis was also a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge in 2016. From 2001 to 2018, they held various positions at the University of Minnesota, including George T. Piercy Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Associate Professor and Director of Bioinformatics Summer Institute, and Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. Before that, they worked as a Research Associate at Pfizer from 1999.
Yiannis Kaznessis began their education in 1989 when they earned a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). Yiannis then attended the University of Notre Dame from 1994 to 1999, where they earned a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. After that, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow in Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan from 1999 to 2001.
