Axel Levy is a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, with a focus on machine learning and advanced computing techniques. Currently a Machine Learning Intern at Generate:Biomedicines, Axel previously worked as a Student Researcher at Google, contributing to research on inverse rendering and neural rendering, resulting in the publication of an algorithm for training a NeRF without camera poses. Axel's experience includes a Graduate Research Internship at The University of Sheffield, where knowledge of reservoir computing and neuromorphic computing was acquired, and an Optoelectronic Engineer position at Stereolabs, focusing on stereo-camera design. Additionally, a background in teaching physics was developed while serving as a Teaching Assistant at Lycée Sainte-Geneviève, and an earlier role as an Officer in the French Air Force was completed. Education consists of a Diplome d’Ingenieur in Physics from École Polytechnique and a B.S. in Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering from Lycée Sainte-Geneviève.
