Emily Schwend

Emily Schwend is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Director of Internal and Executive Communications at Generate:Biomedicines since March 2024. Prior to this role, Emily held the position of Corporate Communications Lead (Associate Director) for the Plasma-Derived Therapies Business Unit at Takeda, where responsibilities included facilitating global communications strategy and serving as a key liaison for cross-functional engagements. Emily's background also includes significant contributions as a Senior Communications Strategist at Arbor Biotechnologies, as well as earlier roles in the organization that focused on operational strategies and internal communications. Additionally, Emily was a Radcliffe Fellow at Harvard University, where Emily developed scripts and engaged with a diverse academic community. Emily holds an Artist's Diploma in Playwriting from The Juilliard School and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dramatic Writing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
