Hernan Bonomi

Hernan Bonomi is a seasoned professional in molecular biology and microbiology, currently serving as the NGS & Molecular Methods Team Lead at GreenLight Biosciences since October 2022. Prior to this role, Hernan worked as a Research and Development Scientist at BIOMILLENIA from November 2020 to October 2022 and served as a Science Researcher at the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas from April 2014 to May 2022. Hernan's expertise includes host-microbe interactions, having conducted postdoctoral research focused on various aspects such as biological photoreception and protein engineering at the Buenos Aires University and Leloir Foundation Institute. Hernan also held positions as an invited researcher at the Centre de Biochimie Structurale affiliated with Université de Montpellier and as a part-time teaching assistant in multiple departments at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Hernan holds a Licentiate in Biological Sciences, a Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology and Biochemistry from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, and a Technician degree in Electronics from ORT Argentina Institute of Technology.
