Di Bush

Di Bush, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Di currently holds the position of VP, Head of Delivery at Generation Bio, where they are responsible for leading cross-functional scientific teams and overseeing lipid chemistry, process development, bioconjugation, scale-up, and production for pre-clinical research support. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director, Platform Delivery at the same company, where they led the Platform Delivery group and managed CMC drug product and raw material supply. Before joining Generation Bio, Di worked at Avanti Polar Lipids, Inc. for five years, first as a Lead Scientist, and then as the Director of the Formulations Division. In this role, they led a team and coordinated efforts to produce and release lipid-based drug products. Di also has research experience as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where they studied viral protein assemblies and gained expertise in various analytical techniques. Lastly, they have teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at Cornell University, where they taught cell biology courses and received recognition for their outstanding teaching abilities.

Di Bush, Ph.D. completed their education in the field of biochemistry, molecular and cell biology. They attended Cornell University from 2007 to 2013, earning a Ph.D. degree. Additionally, in 2010, Di Bush briefly studied as a visiting pre-doctoral student at EMBL Heidelberg. Prior to their Ph.D. program, Di Bush obtained a B.Sc. degree in microbiology and immunology from McGill University, which they attended from 2004 to 2007.
