Nathaniel Silver

Nathaniel Silver is an experienced leader in preclinical research with a focus on T-cell targeted therapies and gene delivery technologies. Currently serving as SVP of Preclinical Research at Generation Bio since July 2018, Nathaniel has driven the development of the company’s first LNP-siRNA programs aimed at inhibiting T-cell activation for auto-immune diseases, overseeing multiple research departments and strategic initiatives. Previously, Nathaniel held roles at Generation Bio as VP, Head of Discovery, and Senior Director of Preclinical Sciences, leading significant research partnerships and developing gene therapy solutions. Additional experience includes positions at Alivexis, Inc. and Axcella, where Nathaniel contributed to computational drug discovery and discovery research for novel therapeutics. Nathaniel's academic credentials include a PhD in Computational Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA in Chemistry and Mathematics from Bowdoin College.
