Leema Abida

Leema Abida has extensive experience in finance and accounting, having held various roles across multiple organizations. At Generations For Peace, Leema served as Finance Officer from June 2019 to September 2022, responsible for monthly bank reconciliations, P&L preparation, and accounts payable management. Promoted to Senior Finance Officer, responsibilities included leading annual audits and ensuring compliance with donor financial requirements. Prior to this, Leema worked as an Accountant at IKEA - Al Homaizi Limited, handling daily financial transactions and inventory postings. Earlier experience includes a position as Junior Accountant at GlobeMed Group, where duties involved processing journal and payment vouchers, as well as managing petty cash. Leema began a career in finance with an internship at Bank-al-Etihad, gaining exposure to finance, treasury, and risk departments.
