Pamela Cooley is an experienced archivist and instructor with a diverse background in archival management and historical cookery. Currently serving as a Freelance Archivist for individual clients since June 2020, Pamela has held various positions including Instructor - Historic Open Hearth, Bake Oven, and Woodstove Cookery at Genesee Country Village & Museum since 2014, and Instructor - Historic Woodstove Cookery at Hanford Mills Museum since 2012. Previous roles include Researcher/Recipe Tester for the Malinda Russell Cookook Research Team, Processing Archivist at the National Baseball Hall of Fame, and Processing Archivist and Research Specialist at The Fenimore Art Museum Research Library. Pamela's career also includes significant contributions as an Archives and Records Management Specialist at the New York State Archives and as Project Archivist at the New York State Library. Pamela holds a Master of Library & Information Science with a focus on Archives and Records Management from the University at Albany and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from SUNY Oneonta.

Encompassing more than 600 acres, the Genesee Country Village & Museum is one of the largest living history museums in the country. Located in the small hamlet of Mumford, New York, about 20 miles from Rochester, New York. First opened to the public in 1976, the authentic 19th-century Historic Village features costumed historians breathing life into relocated and restored historic homes, farms, shops, and other public buildings.
