Joseph Leone

Joseph Leone has extensive work experience in the mortgage and banking industry. Joseph currently serves as the GVP and Residential Mortgage Manager at Genesee Regional Bank, a role they have held since January 2024. Prior to this, they were the Group Vice President and Mortgage Operations Manager at the same company since August 2017.

Before joining Genesee Regional Bank, Joseph worked at Wells Fargo as a Pre-Fund Examiner II from September 2016 to August 2017. Joseph also gained experience at Paychex as a Supervisor of Employer Shared Responsibility from May 2016 to September 2016.

In 2015, Joseph worked at Sutherland Mortgage Services, Inc. as a Certified Residential Mortgage Underwriter (CRU) from June 2015 to March 2016. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where they held various roles including Associate, Underwriting Supervisor from May 2011 to June 2015 and Home Lending Underwriter from April 2009 to May 2011.

Earlier in their career, Joseph held positions at Stockton Turner Mortgage Bankers as a Net Branch Operations Manager/Owner Operator from July 2007 to March 2009, Global Mortgage as a Branch Operations Manager from July 2005 to July 2007, and New Century Mortgage/Home123 as a Loan Officer from September 2003 to July 2005.

Joseph Leone completed their Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University at Buffalo from 1998 to 2002. Recently, from 2019 to 2021, they attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Residential Underwriter (CRU) from the Mortgage Bankers Association.
